These birds are at least 16 weeks old and are point of lay.

Copper Black hybrids are ideal for keeping in your back garden, as they are docile and friendly. They are birds that enjoy foraging and free ranging. These hybrid copper blacks will lay a large brown egg and will lay up to 200 eggs in their first year.
Our birds are free range on grass and are vaccinated.

WE SUPPLY CARRY BOXES FOR £2. We supply carry boxes for you to take your new hens home in. Each box is suitable for 2 or 3 chickens.

About our breeders

The Copper Black Maran is produced for the Domestic Fowl Trust by reputable breeders. Our birds are supplied by two carefully chosen breeders who are known for their healthy birds. All chickens are fully vaccinated and have full traceability.

Egg Colour

Whilst we can reasonably expect the copper black  hybrids to produce darker brown eggs than supermarket eggs, nothing other than birds described as pure French Copper Black Marans will produce eggs with that characteristic "mahogany" dark brown. These birds are not pure bred French Copper Black Marans and the depth of brown colour will vary.
